With an all-out effort, Montmain's Ferdinand Filippini threw himself towards the right post 19 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Arthur Lourme, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 20 minutes into the match, Perenchies's goalkeeper Ferdinand Filippini had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Robin Granet. Wilfried Decaux hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. A collision led to Perenchies getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Serge Moisy hit a great ball. In the 24th minute of the match Mario Autret shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ferdinand Filippini showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Robin Granet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 33 minutes in the game, Robin Granet fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ferdinand Filippini having to interfere. When Arthur Lourme came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Montmain fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arthur Lourme couldn't finish the play. Ferdinand Filippini came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Montmain's Arthur Lourme. But to his dismay, Arthur Lourme quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Florentin Hallier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luka Guillier in the 43rd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Harry Vinchon during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Perenchies booed when Montmain was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harry Vinchon didn't get a good kick on the ball. The corner led Perenchies's Faustin Lesur to fire away a dangerous shot which Florentin Hallier despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luka Guillier was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Luka Guillier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Perenchies's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luka Guillier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match clock showed 57 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Robin Granet sped through Perenchies's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ferdinand Filippini. Luka Guillier might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Florentin Hallier. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luka Guillier ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 71 minutes, Arthur Lourme managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Montmain's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arthur Lourme was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 75th minute of the match Faustin Lesur sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Florentin Hallier skillfully saved the ball. Geoffrey Renon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 79 minutes into the match, Perenchies's Luka Guillier sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Florentin Hallier narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 82 minutes, Robin Granet managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Montmain's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robin Granet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Montmain's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
