Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Theo Bisch made the kick off which started today's match. Émilien Mutel charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Émilien Mutel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 18 played minutes Marignane got a freekick which was hit by Émilien Mutel. Versoud's Marcel Anthoine got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marin Fourny stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcel Anthoine's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. The long shot by Donovan Brochot in the 25th minute really tested Marin Fourny's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Marin Fourny took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcel Anthoine, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute Jackson Duponchel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yves Dervaux saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Jackson Duponchel came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Marignane fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jackson Duponchel couldn't finish the play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcel Anthoine was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Versoud's Yves Dervaux got control of the ball when Émilien Mutel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marcel Anthoine blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marin Fourny having to make a save. Jérémy Allaire's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marin Fourny read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Marignane's Rodrigo Bazile got a free kick in the 58th minute. In the 63rd minute Marcel Anthoine shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marin Fourny saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Versoud booed when Marignane was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodrigo Bazile didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th minute, Jérémy Allaire got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 72nd minute, Tim Baroux sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Marignane's Marin Fourny didn't even have to move. Jack Guillemin was shown his second yellow card after 78 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Jérémy Allaire managed to get in a good position for a shot. Versoud's supporters rose to their feet, but Jérémy Allaire was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marin Fourny breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marin Fourny came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Versoud's Marcel Anthoine. But to his dismay, Marcel Anthoine quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Rodrigo Bazile's late challenge caught a Versoud's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Versoud's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
