The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lorenzo Gérault in the 4th minute of play forced Yvette's goalkeeper Édouard Perche to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Joachim Foret had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thierry Hermouet kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the match, Yvette's Joachim Foret sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Roger Leroi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Édouard Perche made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lorenzo Gérault in the 12th minute of play. Édouard Perche showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lorenzo Gérault in the 25th minute of the match. If Lorenzo Gérault had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 32 minutes into the game, Mauran's Lorenzo Gérault nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Édouard Perche made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. If Robin Cogne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bertrand Chaffard blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Roger Leroi having to make a save.

Édouard Perche was a little too slow when Lorenzo Gérault got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 0-3. Axel Dheilly sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Mauran getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Grégoire Tilly hit a great ball. Axel Dheilly sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 73 minutes into the game, Robin Cogne cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Édouard Perche was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Robin Cogne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Mauran booed when Yvette was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bertrand Chaffard didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 79 minutes, Robin Cogne managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mauran's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robin Cogne was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 86 minutes into the match, Lorenzo Gérault dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Édouard Perche, 0-5. 90 minutes into the game, Ghislain Rohou was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Yvette's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mauran the free kick. In the 90th minute, one of Yvette:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Yvette. When the match had been going on for 92 minutes, Mauran's Thierry Hermouet got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Édouard Perche. Lorenzo Gérault was extremely unlucky when he, in the 95th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After 97 minutes of play, Mauran's Robin Cogne made it 0-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Édouard Perche was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match was over Mauran could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Yvette throughout the match.
