The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute Mickaël Tardy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jack Wauquier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 6th minute Jolan Gouraud shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jack Wauquier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mickaël Tardy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jolan Gouraud struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Jack Wauquier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Malakoff. Jack Wauquier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mickaël Tardy in the 17th minute of play. Batiste Patard did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Christophe Fouache 19 minutes into the match. Jack Wauquier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jolan Gouraud in the 25th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Josselin Parayre got free with Christophe Fouache in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Josselin Parayre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christophe Fouache having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Malakoff's zone, Josselin Parayre stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christophe Fouache came out of the goal and Josselin Parayre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Josselin Parayre struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Christophe Fouache didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Thoiry. If Mickaël Tardy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jolan Gouraud recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Batiste Patard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th minute, Batiste Patard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Batiste Patard made a kick off. Malakoff's Jolan Gouraud got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jolan Gouraud sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Thoiry getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Théophile Bricaud hit a great ball. When Mickaël Tardy came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Malakoff fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mickaël Tardy couldn't finish the play. Josselin Parayre struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Christophe Fouache didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Thoiry. 71 minutes into the match, Mickaël Tardy had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jack Wauquier. Thoiry's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mickaël Tardy was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Jolan Gouraud sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Christophe Fouache showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Josselin Parayre, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 87th match minute, Malakoff was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stéphane Calmettes to maneuver through the defense. 88 minutes into the match, Josselin Parayre notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Malakoff's Christophe Fouache. Christophe Fouache was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Christophe Fouache showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Josselin Parayre, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Thoiry had won after a very even match.
