Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Pierre Bénichou started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Cavernes's Rachid Moureaux played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charles-Henri Casagrande in the 3rd minute of play. Yohann Marquer charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Yohann Marquer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Yohann Marquer kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. When Renaud Lussiez came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Cavernes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Renaud Lussiez couldn't finish the play. In the 23rd minute, Charles-Henri Casagrande left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vernaz fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 26th minute Charles-Henri Casagrande shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rachid Moureaux saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Charles-Henri Casagrande recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 33 minutes into the match, Vernaz's Guy Renoux sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rachid Moureaux narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Olivier Campion charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 34th match minute, Cavernes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olivier Campion to maneuver through the defense. Charles-Henri Casagrande fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rachid Moureaux having to interfere. After 36 played minutes Cavernes got a freekick which was hit by Olivier Campion. Charles-Henri Casagrande recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Renaud Lussiez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cavernes's supporters rose to their feet, but Renaud Lussiez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elias Vallade breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dilan Masure during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Vernaz booed when Cavernes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dilan Masure didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rachid Moureaux made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charles-Henri Casagrande in the 49th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Charles-Henri Casagrande made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th match minute, Vernaz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kilian Basile to maneuver through the defense. Olivier Campion hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Charles-Henri Casagrande in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rachid Moureaux prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 62 played minutes Cavernes got a freekick which was hit by Olivier Campion. Charles-Henri Casagrande fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rachid Moureaux having to interfere. Yohann Marquer kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. In the 76th minute Renaud Lussiez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elias Vallade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Charles-Henri Casagrande fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rachid Moureaux having to interfere. After having played for 82 minutes, Pierre Bénichou managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cavernes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pierre Bénichou was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Pierre Bénichou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guy Renoux fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rachid Moureaux having to interfere. Charles-Henri Casagrande fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rachid Moureaux having to interfere. During the 95th minute of the match Olivier Campion completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Olivier Campion a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Olivier Campion kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The Vernaz supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Vernaz would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
