The referee ignored Feyzin's protests and gave Donatien Baby a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Châteaurenard booed when Feyzin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tommy Pochon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Faustin Chalumeau charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
