The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jordan Frangeul helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Menton's Jordan Frangeul got a free kick in the 8th minute. After having played for 9 minutes, Henri Bance managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Feyzin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henri Bance was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 10th minute, Jordan Frangeul hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 11th minute, Henri Bance got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Henri Bance struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Rémi Schwartz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Feyzin. 16 minutes into the match, Menton's goal looked a bit too open when Marc Bourrat came free, but Rémi Schwartz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ferdinand Boissier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charles Malhomme, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. If Jimmy Moretti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jimmy Moretti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Menton getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Jordan Frangeul hit a great ball. 38 minutes into the match, Feyzin's Henri Bance sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rémi Schwartz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rémi Schwartz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marc Bourrat's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. The supporters of Menton booed when Feyzin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marc Bourrat didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Charles Malhomme managed to get in a good position for a shot. Menton's supporters rose to their feet, but Charles Malhomme was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ferdinand Boissier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 46th match minute, Feyzin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Berenger Rayer to maneuver through the defense.

55 minutes into the match, Feyzin's goal looked a bit too open when Jimmy Moretti came free, but Ferdinand Boissier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Henri Bance got free with Rémi Schwartz in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Feyzin defense, Charles Malhomme kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ferdinand Boissier. The Feyzin fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ferdinand Boissier should have stopped the shot. In the 73rd match minute, Menton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gauthier Batlle to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marc Bourrat in the 76th minute of play forced Menton's goalkeeper Rémi Schwartz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rémi Schwartz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marc Bourrat's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. Rémi Schwartz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marc Bourrat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Charles Malhomme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferdinand Boissier having to interfere. After 84 played minutes Feyzin got a freekick which was hit by Titouan Leprovost. The audience cheered when Jean-Pascal Lange's long shot passed Ferdinand Boissier's right side. It was 2-1, 85 minutes into the match. Henri Bance took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rémi Schwartz. Rémi Schwartz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. In the 95th minute Jimmy Moretti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferdinand Boissier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 96 minutes, Jimmy Moretti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Menton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jimmy Moretti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
