Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Igor Gigant fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diego Drieu having to interfere. Emile Begon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Modeste Dumay in the 11th minute of play. Diego Drieu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hubert Seiler in the 14th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Cuinchy's zone, Geoffroy Chalopin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emile Begon came out of the goal and Geoffroy Chalopin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Modeste Dumay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emile Begon having to interfere. After 21 played minutes Orléans got a freekick which was hit by Eugène Dubreucq. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hubert Seiler in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Diego Drieu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Igor Gigant received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Diego Drieu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Geoffroy Chalopin might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emile Begon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Geoffroy Chalopin ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 40th minute, Quentin Bonetti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Hubert Seiler managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cuinchy's supporters rose to their feet, but Hubert Seiler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Diego Drieu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Orléans's Quentin Bonetti got a free kick in the 42nd minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Geoffroy Chalopin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Geoffroy Chalopin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emile Begon having to interfere. The supporters of Orléans booed when Cuinchy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pierrick Blain didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 59 minutes, Geoffroy Chalopin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Orléans's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geoffroy Chalopin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cuinchy were furious when Donovan Nicot was red carded, 64 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 64th minute of the game. One of Cuinchy:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Orléans:s goal. 71 minutes in the game, Geoffroy Chalopin fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Emile Begon having to interfere. Cuinchy's Emile Begon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Cuinchy from getting a goal against them. In the 77th minute, Geoffroy Chalopin reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Emile Begon. The goal made the score 0-2. Igor Gigant received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Diego Drieu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th match minute, Cuinchy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romeo Racine to maneuver through the defense. Orléans's Diego Drieu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igor Gigant in the 98th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Orléans had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
