The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Courneuve's Lucas Tardivel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stéphane Canivet in the 9th minute of play. Kevin Quenet could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Lucas Tardivel made a huge save. Stéphane Canivet struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Lucas Tardivel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aujoulets. Kevin Quenet's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lucas Tardivel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. If Stéphane Canivet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Igor Tricoire in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sam Gidon saved Aujoulets from getting behind. Igor Tricoire recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Courneuve booed when Aujoulets was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabin Corbeau didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Stéphane Canivet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Igor Tricoire stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 59 minutes of play, Aujoulets's Stéphane Canivet made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lucas Tardivel was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Aujoulets booed when Courneuve was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thibault Mur didn't get a good kick on the ball. 90 minutes into the match, Stéphane Canivet notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Courneuve's Lucas Tardivel. Lucas Tardivel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lucas Tardivel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stéphane Canivet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Aujoulets fully deserved thier win.
