After 6 minutes, Noé Poulard mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Courson and the Rixheim players grew even worse after the yellow card. Noé Poulard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Barthélémy Badiou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Barthélémy Badiou managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rixheim's supporters rose to their feet, but Barthélémy Badiou was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Édouard Pinchon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Auguste Poggi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 14 minutes into the game, Courson's Noé Poulard nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Danny Dervaux made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Noé Poulard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Édouard Pinchon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barthélémy Badiou, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Courson getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Bryan Steinbach hit a great ball. Édouard Pinchon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Barthélémy Badiou's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. In the 30th minute, Luc Le Bohec left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rixheim fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After having played for 35 minutes, Noé Poulard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Courson's supporters crossed their fingers, but Noé Poulard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match clock showed 38 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Auguste Poggi sped through Rixheim's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Danny Dervaux. Noé Poulard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danny Dervaux having to interfere. Barthélémy Badiou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Édouard Pinchon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Barthélémy Badiou to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Ferdinand Burgaud got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Barthélémy Badiou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Édouard Pinchon having to interfere. 61 minutes into the match, Luc Le Bohec notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Courson's Édouard Pinchon. Édouard Pinchon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Barthélémy Badiou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. Luc Le Bohec did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-3 to the left of a surprised Édouard Pinchon 72 minutes into the match. Danny Dervaux showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Auguste Poggi, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Guy Tonnellier, 78 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 80 played minutes Rixheim got a freekick which was hit by Madjid Ramirez. Noé Poulard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Noé Poulard struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Danny Dervaux didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Courson. When Auguste Poggi came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Courson fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Auguste Poggi couldn't finish the play.
