In the 4th minute, Hugo Garon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Victor De Smet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Benoît Courmont tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mathys Jolivel took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benoît Courmont. Benoît Courmont dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Ben Le Blay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thèdes's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Denis Taraud 16 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Denis Taraud managed to get in a good position for a shot. Thionville's supporters rose to their feet, but Denis Taraud was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Josselin Cabanes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Victor De Smet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benoît Courmont having to interfere. After having played for 28 minutes, Mathys Jolivel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Thèdes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mathys Jolivel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 32nd match minute, Thèdes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Josselin Brandy to maneuver through the defense. Josselin Cabanes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denis Taraud in the 38th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, Thèdes's goalkeeper Josselin Cabanes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ben Le Blay. A collision led to Thèdes getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Jean-Michel Delacroix hit a great ball. Denis Taraud fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josselin Cabanes having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Thèdes's Josselin Cabanes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denis Taraud in the 58th minute of play. Josselin Cabanes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ben Le Blay in the 63rd minute of the match. Denis Taraud fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josselin Cabanes having to interfere. In the 72ndth minute of the game Denis Taraud who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Thèdes's Josselin Cabanes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Maurice Prive charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maurice Prive the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Thèdes's Maurice Prive got a free kick in the 73rd minute. When Thionville's Denis Taraud in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Thèdes's goalie prevented a goal. Denis Taraud's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Josselin Cabanes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Josselin Cabanes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denis Taraud in the 88th minute of the match. Josselin Brandy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Benoît Courmont made a huge save. Victor De Smet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benoît Courmont having to interfere. Benoît Courmont made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mathys Jolivel in the 97th minute of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
