Gorre's Victor Audry played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augustin Crozet in the 4th minute of play. After having played for 14 minutes, Erwin Bastian managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gorre's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erwin Bastian was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 17 played minutes Vernéa got a freekick which was hit by Ewan Huck. Allan Ollier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erwin Bastian, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. If Augustin Crozet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gaston Crépel charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gaston Crépel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gaston Crépel kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. 45 minutes into the match, Vernéa's Ewan Huck broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Augustin Crozet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Augustin Crozet to make the kick off. Hugues Touze charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hugues Touze the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, François Bru managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gorre's supporters rose to their feet, but François Bru was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Allan Ollier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Erwin Bastian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Allan Ollier having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Gorre players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Vernéa.
