Hugues Lecas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darren Laverdure in the 25th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Noras's goal looked a bit too open when Franz Besançon came free, but Brian Boudeau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Marco Henriot came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Sallaumines fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marco Henriot couldn't finish the play. In the 45th minute, one of Noras:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Noras. The referee gave Sallaumines a penalty, 47 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jonas Jouanin, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Noras's Brian Boudeau. 2-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marco Henriot made a kick off. Darren Laverdure recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Darren Laverdure struck a weak shot in the 57th minute.
