If Théophile Jullien had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 10th minute Théophile Jullien shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justin Bayard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 12 minutes of play, Walbach's Octave Staub made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gameiro Pitiot was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gameiro Pitiot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mohamed Baldini, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Louison Paty lost his temper 30 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Justin Bayard was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 41 minutes, Daryl Morichon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Walbach's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daryl Morichon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sidney Bordiers short, quick shot in the 45thth minute got Justin Bayard to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Gameiro Pitiot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mohamed Baldini in the 47th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Théophile Jullien was the one to do the kick off. Mathieu Pruvost's late challenge caught a Walbach's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mathieu Pruvost helped the player get up and apologised. Renaud Penisson, 53 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Mohamed Baldini struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Gameiro Pitiot didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Walbach. Ronan Ruffenach hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Justin Bayard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Théophile Jullien, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Théophile Jullien in the 62nd minute of play forced Walbach's goalkeeper Justin Bayard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute Théophile Jullien shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justin Bayard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Walbach booed when FC Bayeux was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathieu Pruvost didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gameiro Pitiot acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 70th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Ronan Ruffenach. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Sidney Bordier managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Bayeux's supporters rose to their feet, but Sidney Bordier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Justin Bayard breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Justin Bayard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Théophile Jullien in the 74th minute of play. Gameiro Pitiot made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Mohamed Baldini sent off a good shot on target. 80 minutes into the match, Walbach's goal looked a bit too open when Sidney Bordier came free, but Justin Bayard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Octave Staub sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Walbach's Justin Bayard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Théophile Jullien in the 86th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Théophile Jullien in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Justin Bayard prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 92 minutes into the match, FC Bayeux's goalkeeper Gameiro Pitiot had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mohamed Baldini. In the 96th minute Sidney Bordier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justin Bayard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Bayeux were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Walbach for a fine match.
