The Vaugondy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rachid Fercoq should have stopped the shot. Farid Cloix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Hakim Chaplain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th minute Ruben Courbe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hakim Chaplain saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hakim Chaplain was a little too slow when Ruben Courbe got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 19th minute. The score was now 2-1. Farid Cloix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Hakim Chaplain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alix Jacquet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 32nd minute, Alix Jacquet left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chavonnière fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. When Chavonnière's Jean-Baptiste Dacquin in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vaugondy's goalie prevented a goal. Rachid Fercoq showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alix Jacquet in the 41st minute of the match. Rachid Fercoq showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alix Jacquet, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Jean-Baptiste Dacquin kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When Flavian Ruffin fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vaugondy's protests and gave Flavian Ruffin a yellow card for diving instead. When Alix Jacquet came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Chavonnière fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alix Jacquet couldn't finish the play. Hakim Chaplain stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Farid Cloix's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. In the 67th match minute, Vaugondy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flavian Ruffin to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Vaugondy's Rachid Fercoq got control of the ball when Alix Jacquet tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Ruben Courbe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Vaugondy getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Flavian Ruffin hit a great ball. If Ruben Courbe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Chavonnière players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Vaugondy.
