Pierrick Le Ber's late challenge caught a Houplin's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Houplin's zone, Mohamed Boule stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eddy Assemat came out of the goal and Mohamed Boule tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. PSG's Maurice Moulet got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mohamed Boule was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th match minute, Houplin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Octave Agogue to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Maurice Moulet managed to get in a good position for a shot. PSG's supporters rose to their feet, but Maurice Moulet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eddy Assemat breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of PSG booed when Houplin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Octave Agogue didn't get a good kick on the ball.
