When Bouzigues's José Pujos in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Houplin's goalie prevented a goal. In the 12th minute, Sabri Jeune left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bouzigues fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Eddy Assemat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sabri Jeune in the 15th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the game, Houplin's Gerard Braconnier nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. José Duparc made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Houplin's Robin Claus got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 31st minute, Sabri Jeune got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gerard Braconnier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. José Duparc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gerard Braconnier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Robin Claus to make the kick off. Robin Claus recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Octave Agogue's late challenge caught a Bouzigues's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Octave Agogue helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Bouzigues booed when Houplin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Octave Agogue didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Sabri Jeune had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute José Pujos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eddy Assemat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 68 played minutes Houplin got a freekick which was hit by Andre Vandenbossche. In the 69th minute of the match Jean-Yves Marien sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eddy Assemat skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of Bouzigues booed when Houplin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robin Claus didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sabri Jeune sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Houplin's Charles Veyre got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 86th minute Robin Claus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Duparc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Bouzigues getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Prosper Wawrzyniak hit a great ball. Robin Claus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Duparc having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Bouzigues's zone, Gerard Braconnier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Duparc came out of the goal and Gerard Braconnier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Prosper Wawrzyniak fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bouzigues's protests and gave Prosper Wawrzyniak a yellow card for diving instead. After 90 played minutes Bouzigues got a freekick which was hit by Prosper Wawrzyniak. In the 92ndth minute of the game Gerard Braconnier who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bouzigues's José Duparc was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Houplin fans cheered their team off the field, for while Bouzigues had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
