Robin Gehin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Malcom Ducher in the 4th minute of play. Robin Gehin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sidney Leducq in the 9th minute of the match. Malcom Ducher charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Malcom Ducher the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 10th match minute, Colmar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Malcom Ducher to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th match minute, Thise was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Regis Rioual to maneuver through the defense. Maurice Chabod was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 14th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 21st minute, Jordan Hoffmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sidney Leducq's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Robin Gehin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. When Regis Rioual fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Thise's protests and gave Regis Rioual a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Colmar booed when Thise was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Regis Rioual didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Reda Tournadre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 35 minutes into the match, Colmar's goal looked a bit too open when Noe Quint came free, but Igor Bellocq reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brice Schuster fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robin Gehin having to interfere. If Sidney Leducq had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reda Tournadre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Igor Bellocq having to interfere. The supporters of Thise booed when Colmar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maurice Chabod didn't get a good kick on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sidney Leducq made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reda Tournadre in the 53rd minute of play forced Colmar's goalkeeper Igor Bellocq to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clement Gabillard struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Igor Bellocq didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Thise. 59 minutes into the match, Colmar's goal looked a bit too open when Noe Quint came free, but Igor Bellocq reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Reda Tournadre took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Igor Bellocq. Igor Bellocq dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Brice Schuster fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robin Gehin having to interfere. The Colmar fans' excitement grew in the 77th match minute when Colmar's Sidney Leducq looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Colmar's goalkeeper Igor Bellocq, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 87th minute Clement Gabillard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Bellocq saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sidney Leducq received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Robin Gehin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
