Bertrand Lernould showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karim Schroeder, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Désiré Lesot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bertrand Lernould having to interfere. Karim Schroeder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Bertrand Lernould tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Montagny's Désiré Lesot got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 36 minutes, Karim Schroeder managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Montagny's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karim Schroeder was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Karim Schroeder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Bertrand Lernould tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Karim Schroeder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bertrand Lernould having to interfere. Bondy's Bertrand Lernould played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karim Schroeder in the 42nd minute of play. Gildas Theret lost his temper 44 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 43rd minute of the game. One of Montagny:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Bondy:s goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

55 minutes into the game, Montagny's Désiré Lesot nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bertrand Lernould made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. After 58 played minutes Bondy got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Croce. If Désiré Lesot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bertrand Lernould stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alphonse Senegas's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. After a rather tough play, Bondy's Jean-Philippe Charre got a free kick in the 65th minute. 67 minutes into the game, Jérôme Leleux was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Montagny's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bondy the free kick. If Désiré Lesot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jérôme Leleux's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bertrand Lernould read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Bondy's zone, Désiré Lesot stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bertrand Lernould came out of the goal and Désiré Lesot tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daniel Croce kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. If Désiré Lesot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Zinedine Chauve fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Montagny's protests and gave Zinedine Chauve a yellow card for diving instead. After 87 played minutes Montagny got a freekick which was hit by Zinedine Chauve. The audience was convinced that Reynald Giron's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maximilien Daviaud was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. There was no doubt that Montagny were the better team. Montagny's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
