If Bruce Deltour had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Valentin Martinelli's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Francois-Xavier Mendez was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. If Aymerick Rauscher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruce Deltour blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bixente Lorcy having to make a save. 27 minutes into the match, Lessy's goal looked a bit too open when Abdel Kieffer came free, but Francois-Xavier Mendez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aymerick Rauscher got free with Bixente Lorcy in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Valentin Martinelli's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Francois-Xavier Mendez was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. In the 37th minute there was a penalty for Battenheim. Anthony Boone stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Francois-Xavier Mendez. 0-1. The supporters of Battenheim booed when Lessy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jean-Philippe Duchez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abdel Kieffer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pacome Guillen hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Abdel Kieffer struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Francois-Xavier Mendez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Battenheim. The Lessy players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Battenheim were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Bruce Deltour made the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Bruce Deltour put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Bixente Lorcy. 57 minutes into the match, Battenheim's goal looked a bit too open when Aymerick Rauscher came free, but Bixente Lorcy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58th minute, Lessy's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Valentin Martinelli fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Bruce Deltour received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Bixente Lorcy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The corner led to Battenheim's Alphonse Caparros getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Lessy's Aymerick Rauscher got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdel Kieffer in the 75th minute of play forced Lessy's goalkeeper Francois-Xavier Mendez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aymerick Rauscher recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Francois-Xavier Mendez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abdel Kieffer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Battenheim's Alban Daurat got a free kick in the 86th minute. After 87 played minutes Battenheim got a freekick which was hit by Alban Daurat. 90 minutes had been played when some careless play by Battenheim's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Martin Grelet was slow to take the kick. During this time Lessy's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Martin Grelet almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Battenheim's Bixente Lorcy did a great save. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
