Serge Goin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Jonas Franchi made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Hector Bouron put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jocelyn May. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Serge Goin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fonbeauzard's supporters rose to their feet, but Serge Goin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonas Franchi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Johan Chatelard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sidney Vega in the 26th minute of play forced Fonbeauzard's goalkeeper Jocelyn May to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Camille Pied kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Jonas Franchi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Édouard Fugier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pigeonnier's goalkeeper Jonas Franchi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Leopold Sale hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. David Charpentier might have been able to make a better finish in the 49th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonas Franchi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. David Charpentier ran back to his position shaking his head. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Édouard Fugier stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Édouard Fugier came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Fonbeauzard fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Édouard Fugier couldn't finish the play. Sidney Vega took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jocelyn May. Jocelyn May dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After some careless play in the Fonbeauzard defense, Hector Bouron kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jocelyn May. The Fonbeauzard fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jocelyn May should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Serge Goin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fonbeauzard's supporters rose to their feet, but Serge Goin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonas Franchi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Serge Goin struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Jonas Franchi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fonbeauzard. After a defensive mix-up in Pigeonnier's zone, Serge Goin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonas Franchi came out of the goal and Serge Goin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 83rd minute Serge Goin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonas Franchi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86th minute, Serge Goin made a precise shot to the right of Jonas Franchi. Pigeonnier's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Jonas Franchi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Édouard Fugier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sidney Vega received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Jocelyn May tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Mehdi Kennel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
