In the 4th minute, Marcel Couzon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 13 minutes into the match, Jocelyn Barrau notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Mâcheron's Bixente Mory. Bixente Mory was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Marcel Couzon might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tommy Stutzmann. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcel Couzon ran back to his position shaking his head. After taking down the ball on Gavotte's corner Serge Baudon fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Bixente Mory quite easily take care of the ball. In the 28th minute, Remi Lagrange hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gavotte's Tommy Stutzmann proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Gavotte from getting a goal against them. Tommy Stutzmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcel Couzon in the 33rd minute of the match. If Remi Lagrange had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mâcheron's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcel Couzon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aurelien Gobes short, quick shot in the 56thth minute got Bixente Mory to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Mâcheron's Marcel Couzon in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gavotte's goalie prevented a goal. Aurelien Gobe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aurelien Gobe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Bixente Mory tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tommy Stutzmann didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcel Couzon went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Mâcheron's Remi Lagrange got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remi Lagrange in the 71st minute of play forced Gavotte's goalkeeper Tommy Stutzmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mâcheron's Bixente Mory played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jocelyn Barrau in the 74th minute of play. If Marcel Couzon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aurelien Gobe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bixente Mory having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Louison Cappe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Aurelien Gobe came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Gavotte fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aurelien Gobe couldn't finish the play. Maurice Combe charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maurice Combe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 88 played minutes Gavotte got a freekick which was hit by Maurice Combe. Tommy Stutzmann came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Mâcheron's Remi Lagrange. But to his dismay, Remi Lagrange quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Gavotte's Jocelyn Barrau got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marc Decoux kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. In the 97th minute, Serge Baudon sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Mâcheron's Bixente Mory didn't even have to move. Gavotte's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
