But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaspard Carrie couldn't finish the play. Pierrick Simeoni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Pierrick Simeoni managed to get in a good position for a shot. Larivière's Malcom Poullain played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Philibert Therond in the 73rd minute of play. Marc-Antoine Ponsard charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marc-Antoine Ponsard the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Philibert Therond scored 1-4 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Malcom Poullain, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 83 minutes into the game, Chocques's Philibert Therond nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Malcom Poullain made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. The Larivière supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Larivière would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
