Spectators: 38 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Josselin Astier started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johan Barbarin in the 3rd minute of play forced Cantenay's goalkeeper Eymeric Baly to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Corentin Wallart scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eymeric Baly, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Theix getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Moise Matignon hit a great ball. Kilian Marcon was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 9th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Nicolas Cocu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joey Moussier in the 11th minute. In the 14th minute, Joey Moussier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joey Moussier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Nicolas Cocu made a huge save. Nicolas Cocu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joey Moussier, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After 21 played minutes Cantenay got a freekick which was hit by Constantin Colon. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Renan Pradel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Theix's supporters rose to their feet, but Renan Pradel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eymeric Baly breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Josselin Astier blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nicolas Cocu having to make a save. Zinedine Ciret struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Nicolas Cocu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cantenay. The supporters of Cantenay booed when Theix was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tim Coulibaly didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Corentin Wallart in the 37th minute of play forced Cantenay's goalkeeper Eymeric Baly to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 38 played minutes Cantenay got a freekick which was hit by Xavier Halter. Joey Moussier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Nicolas Cocu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Theix getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Tim Coulibaly hit a great ball. Cantenay's Xavier Halter got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Renan Pradel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Corentin Wallart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Zinedine Ciret had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Johan Barbarin took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eymeric Baly. Eymeric Baly dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Nicolas Cocu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joey Moussier in the 62nd minute of the match. Josselin Astier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Nicolas Cocu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joey Moussier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolas Cocu having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Theix's zone, Joey Moussier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicolas Cocu came out of the goal and Joey Moussier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 74 minutes into the match, Theix's goal looked a bit too open when Josselin Astier came free, but Nicolas Cocu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renan Pradel in the 77th minute of play forced Cantenay's goalkeeper Eymeric Baly to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Cantenay fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Cantenay were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Theix to leave the ground with a draw.
