Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) 3 minutes into the game, Didier Greiner cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Augustin Lacoste was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Malik Feutry got free with Arnold Combret in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Colonie's Gaston Meurisse got a free kick in the 11th minute. 15 minutes into the game, Gauthier Cretin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Colonie's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ferrières the free kick. The supporters of Ferrières booed when Colonie was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gauthier Cretin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 22 minutes, Malik Feutry managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colonie's supporters crossed their fingers, but Malik Feutry was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Malik Feutry fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnold Combret having to interfere. 29 minutes into the game, Samir Hego was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ferrières's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Colonie the free kick. Samir Hego kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Augustin Lacoste showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Lenormand, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 34th minute, Gérard Lasselin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Samir Hego hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Colonie's zone, Didier Greiner stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Augustin Lacoste came out of the goal and Didier Greiner tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Ludovic Croizer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xavier Brabant took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 42nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Arnold Combret. Ferrières's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A hard shot 48 in the game by Rene Homo from a close distance when the talented Arnold Combret managed to make a qualified save. Ferrières's players were relieved. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
With a little luck, Colonie's Augustin Lacoste got control of the ball when Didier Greiner tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ronald Lasalle struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Arnold Combret didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Colonie. 61 minutes into the match, Malik Feutry had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnold Combret. Ferrières's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Malik Feutry was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After 64 minutes of play, Colonie's Malik Feutry made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnold Combret was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 69th minute Ronald Lasalle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnold Combret saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnold Combret showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronald Lasalle in the 72nd minute of the match. Rene Homo's late challenge caught a Ferrières's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rene Homo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 74th minute, Rene Homo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 75th minute of the match, Didier Greiner got a very nice opportunity to score, but Augustin Lacoste was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The supporters of Ferrières booed when Colonie was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rene Homo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Élie Lesaint fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ferrières's protests and gave Élie Lesaint a yellow card for diving instead. In the 78th minute, Élie Lesaint hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Colonie's Malik Feutry got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 85 minutes into the match, Didier Greiner had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Augustin Lacoste. Colonie's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Didier Greiner was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. When Ludovic Croizer came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Ferrières fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ludovic Croizer couldn't finish the play. Augustin Lacoste came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Ferrières's Didier Greiner. But to his dismay, Didier Greiner quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. The Colonie supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ferrières's performance. The match ended with a win for Ferrières.
