The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Charles-Henri Colin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Didenheim's supporters rose to their feet, but Charles-Henri Colin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yvan Servant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lucas Chabert kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. 16 minutes into the match, Didenheim's goal looked a bit too open when Pierre-Henri Devin came free, but Jason Lanoue reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 21st play minutes Charles-Henri Colin shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Yvan Servant and just under the crossbar into goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Morgan Prive got free with Jason Lanoue in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Jerphagnon FC booed when Didenheim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Bossy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Danny Malard made in the 44th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Jean-Charles Dru immediately put the ball in play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Jerphagnon FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 45th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Didenheim a penalty, 46 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Charles-Henri Colin, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Jerphagnon FC's Yvan Servant. 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pierre-Henri Devin to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Charles-Henri Colin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Didenheim fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. After 59 played minutes Didenheim got a freekick which was hit by Boris Deloffre. Jean-Charles Dru lost his temper 68 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Jerphagnon FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 68th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Yvan Servant, was totally fooled by Didenheim's Charles-Henri Colin, who 71 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. A hard shot 74 in the game by Charles-Henri Colin from a close distance when the talented Yvan Servant managed to make a qualified save. Jerphagnon FC's players were relieved. Bernard Vallot hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Charles-Henri Colin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 84 minutes into the game, Paulo Bossy was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Didenheim's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jerphagnon FC the free kick. In the 85th minute, Paulo Bossy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Octave Goupy who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 90thth minute tested the skills of Yvan Servant when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Octave Goupy hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Jerphagnon FC's Joseph Seret got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Didenheim players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
