The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Noureddine Faivre in the 5th minute of play forced Rosière FC's goalkeeper Renaud Carlo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute, Ruben Zajac got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fabien Barthez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teddy Garde in the 13th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Algrange defense, Ruben Zajac kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabien Barthez. The Algrange fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabien Barthez should have stopped the shot. Algrange's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Pascal Ohlmann in the 25th minute. Pascal Ohlmann made a great header on Algrange's corner, it was just that Rosière FC's Renaud Carlo managed to reach the ball for a save. Fabien Barthez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernesto Santana in the 26th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the match, Rosière FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edmondo Antonangeli came free, but Renaud Carlo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Edmondo Antonangeli had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Renaud Carlo. When the match had been going on for 37 minutes, Algrange's Pascal Ohlmann got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Renaud Carlo. A collision led to Algrange getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Noureddine Faivre hit a great ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pascal Ohlmann made a kick off. Renaud Carlo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pascal Ohlmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 56th minute Edmondo Antonangeli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renaud Carlo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Algrange's Fabien Barthez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Algrange from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Ruben Zajac's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabien Barthez was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. In the 63rd minute, Junior Rieffel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Algrange's Isaiah Simmons was substituted for Noureddine Faivre. After 93 played minutes Rosière FC got a freekick which was hit by Ludwig Josef. When the referee ended the match the Algrange players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
