The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Einar Hans Rubeksen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Heri Eysturoy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jens Christian Gunnarsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Øssur Joensen, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Heri Eysturoy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sjúrdur Danielsen in the 15th minute of the match. Heri Eysturoy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sjúrdur Danielsen's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Harlow's Jónleif L. Holst couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 29th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Hucknall. Holst, 35 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hucknall reached it. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When Øssur Joensen came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Harlow fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Øssur Joensen couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jann Thomsen in the 90th minute of play forced Hucknall's goalkeeper Jens Christian Gunnarsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Øssur Joensen came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Harlow fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Øssur Joensen couldn't finish the play. Øssur Joensen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jens Christian Gunnarsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Hucknall players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Harlow.
