Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Hannis Danielsen kicked off to start the match. Christian Castilho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Símun Samuelsen went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Símun Johannesen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Horsham's supporters rose to their feet, but Símun Johannesen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christian Castilho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 13 played minutes Birkenhead got a freekick which was hit by Ronnie R. Hansen. Símun Samuelsen might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Christian Castilho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Símun Samuelsen ran back to his position shaking his head. Hans av Fløtum took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Christian Castilho. Christian Castilho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 19th minute Hans av Fløtum shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Castilho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Horsham's Andrew Nolsøe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Horsham from getting a goal against them. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Horsham's goalkeeper Andrew Nolsøe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Horsham's Andrew Nolsøe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hannis Danielsen in the 35th minute of play. Birkenhead's Sorin Kwieciński got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hans av Fløtum in the 40th minute of play forced Birkenhead's goalkeeper Christian Castilho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sorin Kwieciński in the 43rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Andrew Nolsøe, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Símun Samuelsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Castilho having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Andrew Nolsøe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Birkenhead. The supporters of Birkenhead booed when Horsham was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bogi Martin Joensen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sorin Kwieciński took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Andrew Nolsøe. Andrew Nolsøe dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. In the 84th minute, one of Horsham:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Horsham. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sorin Kwieciński in the 89th minute of play forced Horsham's goalkeeper Andrew Nolsøe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Símun Samuelsen got free with Christian Castilho in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
