The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Svínoy 's Todi Høgni Jacobsen got control of the ball when Sámal G. Hansen tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 19 played minutes Svínoy got a freekick which was hit by Tommy Højsted. If Sámal G. Hansen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Hanus Nielsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Torkil Joensen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sorin Dalbúð received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Todi Høgni Jacobsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sámal G. Hansen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rafał Castilho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Todi Høgni Jacobsen having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kristjan L. Holst made a kick off. Jón í Lon Jacobsen hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. The supporters of Svínoy booed when Stock United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jens í Skorini didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hanus Nielsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kristjan L. Holst in the 56th minute of play. Todi Høgni Jacobsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sámal G. Hansen in the 64th minute of play. Torkil Joensen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 70 minutes, Kristjan L. Holst managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Svínoy 's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kristjan L. Holst was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Svínoy 's Einar Rein suffered a concussion after 72 minutes and had to leave the field. When Tórður Benjaminsen fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stock United's protests and gave Tórður Benjaminsen a yellow card for diving instead. After 73 played minutes Stock United got a freekick which was hit by Tórður Benjaminsen. Svínoy 's Torkil Joensen got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Todi Høgni Jacobsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafał Castilho in the 76th minute of the match. The supporters of Svínoy booed when Stock United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amed Eliasen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Svínoy 's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 80th minute of the game, when Ásbjørn Carlsen after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Stock United's goal. Ásbjørn Carlsen was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. Torkil Joensen's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 82ndth minute, Hanus Nielsen skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Stock United's Hanus Nielsen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Stock United from getting a goal against them. When Rafał Castilho came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Stock United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafał Castilho couldn't finish the play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
