The tension between the Ilkley City and the Oyndarfjørður ÍF players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ilkley City fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 5th minute. Penalty! Jón Hansen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrew T. Hansen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ronnie Gunnarsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Súni Hanssen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Andy Færø received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Jón Hansen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Ilkley City booed when Oyndarfjørður ÍF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Todi R. Hansen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andrew T. Hansen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jón Hansen having to interfere. Ronnie Gunnarsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jákup Martin Fróði Hansen in the 26th minute. After a rather tough play, Ilkley City's Bogi Jacobsen got a free kick in the 32nd minute. If Andrew T. Hansen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match clock showed 35 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Andrew T. Hansen sped through Oyndarfjørður ÍF 's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jón Hansen. In the 37th minute, Súni Hanssen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Oyndarfjørður ÍF 's goalkeeper Jón Hansen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 40th minute, Andy Færø ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jón Hansen was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. 46 minutes into the game, Ilkley City's Andy Færø nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jón Hansen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Ronnie Gunnarsson came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Oyndarfjørður ÍF 's Jákup Martin Fróði Hansen. But to his dismay, Jákup Martin Fróði Hansen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. After a rather tough play, Oyndarfjørður ÍF 's Bárður á Bø got a free kick in the 59th minute. Jón Hansen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrew T. Hansen in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 70thth minute of the game Súni Hanssen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ilkley City's Ronnie Gunnarsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Súni Hanssen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ronnie Gunnarsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jákup Martin Fróði Hansen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hansen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 80 minutes into the match, Ilkley City's goal looked a bit too open when Súni Hanssen came free, but Ronnie Gunnarsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Andy Færø had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86thth minute of the game Jákup Martin Fróði Hansen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ilkley City's Ronnie Gunnarsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jón Hansen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrew T. Hansen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Súni Hanssen came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Oyndarfjørður ÍF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Súni Hanssen couldn't finish the play. The Ilkley City players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
