Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Torkil Thomassen got the match started through his kick off. Óli Rói Jacobsen took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 10th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jens Eliasen. Atherton United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 17th minute of the match Ingi Samuelsen sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jens Eliasen skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johan Potemkin in the 18th minute of play forced Atherton United's goalkeeper Jens Eliasen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Johan Potemkin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 25 minutes into the game, Diaba Egholm was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atherton United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stamford the free kick. A collision led to Atherton United getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Diaba Egholm hit a great ball. Atherton United's Klæmint í Lon Jacobsen suffered a sore thigh after 28 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Einar Midjord might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jens Eliasen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The referee ignored Stamford's protests and gave Einar Midjord a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Stamford getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Einar Midjord hit a great ball. Einar Midjord's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jens Eliasen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. In the 33rd play minute René Martin Knudsen came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Mikkjal Hansen. 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Diaba Egholm managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atherton United's supporters rose to their feet, but Diaba Egholm was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mikkjal Hansen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 47th minute, Jónleif á Borg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Johan Potemkin to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Atherton United's Jens Eliasen got control of the ball when Einar Midjord tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Johan Potemkin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Einar Midjord sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Stamford's Johan Potemkin in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Atherton United's goalie prevented a goal. Jens Eliasen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Einar Midjord in the 78th minute. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Diaba Egholm in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mikkjal Hansen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Diaba Egholm struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Mikkjal Hansen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atherton United.
