The supporters of Wanlip booed when Witham United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Todi Pauli Jacobsen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Witham United were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Wanlip's Bárður Midjord pulled a muscle in his leg after 54 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After a rather tough play, Witham United's Sjúrdur Benjaminsen got a free kick in the 55th minute. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Witham United's goalkeeper Jóan Jónsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
