Oulton Broad AFC's Mikkjal Rein played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by John Carlsen in the 11th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mortan í Skorini during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Mortan í Skorini hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. When Meinhardt á Bø fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oulton Broad AFC's protests and gave Meinhardt á Bø a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 14th minute of the game. One of Oulton Broad AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Velbastadur:s goal. 19 minutes into the match, Velbastadur's goal looked a bit too open when Jann Egholm came free, but Amed Davy Sylla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jann Egholm's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 20thth minute, Amed Davy Sylla skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Jann Egholm came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Oulton Broad AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jann Egholm couldn't finish the play. Jann Egholm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jákup Stanković in the 32nd minute of play forced Oulton Broad AFC's goalkeeper Mikkjal Rein to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute John Carlsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mikkjal Rein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 37th minute, Jákup Stanković got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Oulton Broad AFC booed when Velbastadur was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brian Mikkelsen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Jann Egholm made the kick off in the second half. Velbastadur's Amed Davy Sylla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jann Egholm in the 52nd minute of play. Amed Davy Sylla didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oulton Broad AFC. 84 minutes into the game, John Potemkin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Velbastadur's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Oulton Broad AFC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Velbastadur's John Potemkin got a free kick in the 84th minute. Jann Egholm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amed Davy Sylla having to interfere. If Jann Egholm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chants of Velbastadur echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Oulton Broad AFC had held the ball for most of the match.
