Poul Enok Olsen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Poul Gunnarsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. In the 10th minute Tommy Rein shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Poul Gunnarsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 11 minutes into the match, Langasandur Ítóttarfelag 's Poul Enok Olsen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Poul Gunnarsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ingi Hanssen kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tommy Rein in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Poul Gunnarsson saved Skálafjørður from getting behind. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 35th match minute, Skálafjørður was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hjalgrím Davy Sylla to maneuver through the defense. An unexpected shot in the 41st minute by Øssur Jacobsen got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Poul Enok Olsen to make the kick off. Alex Jónsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ingi Hanssen in the 56th minute of play. In the 58th minute, Poul Enok Olsen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 60th minute, Hjalgrím Davy Sylla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Poul Gunnarsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Poul Enok Olsen in the 63rd minute of the match. Tommy Rein received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Poul Gunnarsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Leif Jacobsen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Christian í Lon Jacobsen came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Langasandur Ítóttarfelag fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christian í Lon Jacobsen couldn't finish the play. Alex Jónsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Øssur Jacobsen in the 81st minute of play. Tommy Rein fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Poul Gunnarsson having to interfere. In the 87th play minute Tommy Rein came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Poul Gunnarsson. 0-1. After 94 played minutes Skálafjørður got a freekick which was hit by Rafał Castilho. Herbert Løkin kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. When the final whistle sounded Langasandur Ítóttarfelag left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Skálafjørður.
