In the 11th play minute Tommy Rein came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Sjúrður Løkin. 1-0. Tommy Rein fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sjúrður Løkin having to interfere. Poul Enok Olsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alex Jónsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fróði Midjord recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience held their breath when Rafał Egholm in the 50th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Alex Jónsson's left hand side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Janus Midjurd made a kick off. A hard shot 56 in the game by Fróði Midjord from a close distance when the talented Alex Jónsson managed to make a qualified save. Langasandur Ítóttarfelag 's players were relieved. Sandy's Sjúrður Løkin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tommy Rein in the 57th minute of play. Alex Jónsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Janus Midjurd, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. 69 minutes into the game, Tommy Rein cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Sjúrður Løkin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Janus Midjurd had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Langasandur Ítóttarfelag 's Alex Jónsson got control of the ball when Fróði Midjord tried to sneak it across the goal line. 76 minutes into the match, Langasandur Ítóttarfelag 's goal looked a bit too open when Janus Midjurd came free, but Alex Jónsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 76 played minutes Langasandur Ítóttarfelag got a freekick which was hit by John Midjord. Alex Jónsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Janus Midjurd in the 81st minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nenad Fróði Hansen during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 82 minutes into the game, one of Langasandur Ítóttarfelag :s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 90 minutes, Ingi Matras mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sandy and the Langasandur Ítóttarfelag players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Sandy getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Ingi Matras hit a great ball. Fróði Midjords short, quick shot in the 94thth minute got Alex Jónsson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Poul Enok Olsen's late challenge caught a Sandy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Poul Enok Olsen helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Langasandur Ítóttarfelag 's Poul Enok Olsen got a free kick in the 97th minute. When Tommy Rein came up free with the goalie in the 102nd minute, the Langasandur Ítóttarfelag fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tommy Rein couldn't finish the play.
