When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Jákup Stanković took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Jens Christian á Borg to make any attempt to save it. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gjógv FS reached it. In the 48th minute, Gjógv FS's Károly Dalbúð dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ronnie Dalbúð was the one to do the kick off. Jens Christian á Borg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Károly Dalbúð, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. 60 minutes into the match, Gjógv FS's Károly Dalbúð sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jens Christian á Borg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Károly Dalbúð in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jens Christian á Borg saved Kunoy from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Kunoy's Simun Benjaminsen got a free kick in the 90th minute. Kunoy's Jens Christian á Borg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Eliasen in the 93rd minute of play. Ronnie Dalbúð could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Simun Egholm made a huge save.
