But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vitor Barbosa couldn't finish the play. Nacho Soto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaspar Domingo in the 40th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Campanar's zone, Gorka Camaño stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Orlando Rapado came out of the goal and Gorka Camaño tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vitor Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gaspar Domingo was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaspar Domingo in the 51st minute of play forced Miranda's goalkeeper Nacho Soto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Miranda booed when Campanar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zenon Morales didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Gorka Camaño had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Campanar's goalkeeper Orlando Rapado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gaspar Domingo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nacho Soto having to interfere.
