Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cresitobalo Tobias started the match with the kick off. After having played for 9 minutes, Esteban Cainzos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sondika's supporters crossed their fingers, but Esteban Cainzos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Sondika booed when Retamar FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bao Cordoba didn't get a good kick on the ball. Xurxo Benedicto took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 11th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mero Bouzon. Retamar FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Retamar FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Bao Cordoba hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cresitobalo Tobias in the 18th minute of play forced Sondika's goalkeeper Juan-Francisco Alonso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute, Cresitobalo Tobias made a precise shot to the right of Juan-Francisco Alonso. Sondika's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Mero Bouzon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Esteban Cainzos in the 25th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leocadio Tormes got free with Mero Bouzon in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leocadio Tormes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Esteban Cainzos to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Sondika's zone, Julio Canal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juan-Francisco Alonso came out of the goal and Julio Canal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 60 played minutes Retamar FC got a freekick which was hit by Bao Cordoba. In the 61st minute, Xurxo Benedicto sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Retamar FC's Mero Bouzon didn't even have to move. In the 63rd minute, Esteban Cainzos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mero Bouzon was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After a rather tough play, Sondika's Michael Valdés got a free kick in the 68th minute. Julio Canal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Juan-Francisco Alonso made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leocadio Tormes in the 73rd minute of play forced Retamar FC's goalkeeper Mero Bouzon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Cresitobalo Tobias kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Juan-Francisco Alonso. That made the score 1-2 in the 75 minute of play. After 78 minutes of play, Retamar FC's Julio Canal made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Juan-Francisco Alonso was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 84th minute Cresitobalo Tobias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan-Francisco Alonso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juan-Francisco Alonso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cresitobalo Tobias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Cresitobalo Tobias managed to get in a good position for a shot. Retamar FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cresitobalo Tobias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juan-Francisco Alonso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Retamar FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
