Juan-Francisco Alonso made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Venceslao Navas sent off a good shot on target. Peri Vilanova recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Erasto Carballido charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Erasto Carballido the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 18th match minute, Montgo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erasto Carballido to maneuver through the defense. 19 minutes into the match, Montgo's goal looked a bit too open when Esteban Cainzos came free, but Maximiano Morado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Sondika's Luisito Galego got a free kick in the 20th minute. Maximiano Morado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esteban Cainzos in the 23rd minute of play. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 47 minutes into the game, one of Montgo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 50th minute there was a penalty for Sondika. Xurxo Benedicto stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Maximiano Morado. 0-1.

In the 59th minute, Montgo's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Leocadio Tormes fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Leocadio Tormes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Maximiano Morado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 63 minutes into the game, Iosu Jauregui was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Montgo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sondika the free kick. The supporters of Sondika booed when Montgo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iosu Jauregui didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 66th minute, Iosu Jauregui hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Sondika's Michael Valdés got a free kick in the 67th minute. If Venceslao Navas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maximiano Morado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esteban Cainzos in the 72nd minute of play. Maximiano Morado made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Leocadio Tormes sent off a good shot on target. Leocadio Tormes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Venceslao Navas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Juan-Francisco Alonso was relentless in the 85th minute of the game.
