After some careless play in the Vinyols FC defense, Andrés-Fernando Aguilar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ritchie Valdivia. The Vinyols FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ritchie Valdivia should have stopped the shot. Ritchie Valdivia made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Goyo Ruiz sent off a good shot on target. 30 minutes into the match, Espejeras's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Barbosa came free, but Mazuste Mendez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andrés-Fernando Aguilar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sabino Uria in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mazuste Mendez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ritchie Valdivia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moncho Ballesteros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The wind increased when Moncho Ballesteros made the kick off in the second half. Sabino Uria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Mazuste Mendez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Goyo Ruiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Espejeras's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vinyols FC the free kick.
