The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gamarra Menor's Urtsua Ucero got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Amato Cazorla showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Eberardo Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gamarra Menor's Amuruza Sobrado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ximun Serena in the 15th minute of play. If Ximun Serena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amato Cazorla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Goren Durango, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gaizko Salazar kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Amato Cazorla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Urtsua Ucero in the 23rd minute of the match. After having played for 27 minutes, Eberardo Romero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Rosario's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eberardo Romero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Goren Durango sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Gamarra Menor booed when El Rosario was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sergio Acedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Urtsua Ucero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ximun Serena stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Amuruza Sobrado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ximun Serena in the 54th minute of play. Clodoveo Morales kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Eberardo Romero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Amuruza Sobrado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ximun Serena struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Amuruza Sobrado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El Rosario. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Eberardo Romero put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Amuruza Sobrado. 70 minutes into the match, Gamarra Menor's goal looked a bit too open when Ximun Serena came free, but Amuruza Sobrado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Clodoveo Morales was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 71 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Gamarra Menor's Clodoveo Morales got a free kick in the 71st minute. If Eberardo Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. El Rosario's Amato Cazorla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save El Rosario from getting a goal against them. After 88 played minutes Gamarra Menor got a freekick which was hit by Aristeo Campello. When Ximun Serena came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the El Rosario fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ximun Serena couldn't finish the play. Eberardo Romero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 95 minutes, Goren Durango managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
