Martinet's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nueva Atalaya AFC the free kick. In the 11th match minute, Martinet was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lesardo Quintero to maneuver through the defense. Martinet's Fabricio Barral proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Martinet from getting a goal against them. 15 minutes into the match, Nueva Atalaya AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Alirio Mondejar came free, but Aarón Gomar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th match minute, Martinet was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Etor Sabina to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Etor Sabina in the 27th minute of play forced Nueva Atalaya AFC's goalkeeper Aarón Gomar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 29 minutes, Etor Sabina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Martinet's supporters crossed their fingers, but Etor Sabina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aarón Gomar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alirio Mondejar in the 34th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alirio Mondejar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pirro Bouzon kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. After 53 played minutes, Nueva Atalaya AFC's Rainerio Cacheres shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fabricio Barral came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Nueva Atalaya AFC reached it. Sofronio Villanueva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Etor Sabina could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Aarón Gomar made a huge save. 73 minutes into the game, Nueva Atalaya AFC's Arnaitz Blazquez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fabricio Barral made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Patxi Casas kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Hermenegildo Gómez, 85 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Etor Sabina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 90 minutes into the game, Sofronio Villanueva cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Fabricio Barral was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alirio Mondejar in the 94th minute of play forced Nueva Atalaya AFC's goalkeeper Aarón Gomar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alirio Mondejar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aarón Gomar having to interfere. Martinet's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
