The supporters of Picassent booed when Aeropuerto De Zaragoza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Koldo Durango didn't get a good kick on the ball. Locaio Marcos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Manzano, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Locaio Marcos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Manzano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26th minute Belmiro Balcells shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mel Segura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mel Segura took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Belmiro Balcells, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Picassent's Emeterio Reyes got a free kick in the 41st minute. Belmiro Balcells received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Mel Segura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Picassent were furious when Cheche Gandia was red carded, 47 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Picassent fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 47th minute. Penalty! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Mel Segura didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Platon Ladra went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After having played for 66 minutes, Galeno Nafría managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Picassent's supporters crossed their fingers, but Galeno Nafría was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 68 played minutes Aeropuerto De Zaragoza got a freekick which was hit by Platon Ladra. Belmiro Balcells sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pablo-Enrique Vallejo struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Mel Segura didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aeropuerto De Zaragoza. Mel Segura made an important save on a dangerous shot by Belmiro Balcells in the 81st minute. Galeno Nafría blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Locaio Marcos having to make a save. Belmiro Balcells succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-4 in the 87th playminute. The Aeropuerto De Zaragoza supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Aeropuerto De Zaragoza would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
