Ilarratza's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After having played for 6 minutes, Hilario Mayor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ilarratza's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hilario Mayor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of El Pinatell De Rojals booed when Ilarratza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hilario Mayor didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th minute Carlos Salan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raymond Santalla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arias Valcarcel took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Raymond Santalla. Raymond Santalla dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 31st minute of the match Berriotxoa Buendia shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Raymond Santalla showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 34 minutes into the game, Carlos Salan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Raymond Santalla was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 42 minutes into the game, Cilio Cacheres cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Ekain Camino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ekain Camino was a little too slow when Jordi Freire got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 47th minute. The score was now 2-2. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jordi Freire was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Oscar Camaño was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ilarratza's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Pinatell De Rojals the free kick. A collision led to Ilarratza getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Oscar Camaño hit a great ball. Ekain Camino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jordi Freire, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ilarratza's goalkeeper Ekain Camino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ekain Camino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Segarra in the 59th minute of play. In the 64th minute, Alberto Segarra made a precise shot to the right of Ekain Camino. Ilarratza's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. In the 71st minute Carlos Salan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raymond Santalla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ilarratza's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Karlos Ponce ran over to the corner to take the kick. Lleir Mayol made a great header on El Pinatell De Rojals's corner, it was just that Ilarratza's Ekain Camino managed to reach the ball for a save. Jordi Freire hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
