The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hegoi Saavedra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Igor Mera in the 5th minute of play. Igor Mera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Hegoi Saavedra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paulin Grau during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 11th minute, Paulin Grau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Hernando Diaz came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Canyamars AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hernando Diaz couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Igor Mera managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arratzu's supporters rose to their feet, but Igor Mera was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hegoi Saavedra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Servando Serena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Arratzu's Igor Mera got a free kick in the 31st minute. If Hernando Diaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Canyamars AFC's Bernardo Bargas got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After recieving a nice pass, Canyamars AFC's Garikoitz Montaña tried to score from far away in the 45th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Hernando Diaz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lucas Ramos came out and tried to block the shot, but Hernando Diaz slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 49th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hernando Diaz was the one to do the kick off. 56 minutes into the game, Bernardo Bargas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Lucas Ramos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Paulin Grau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Bernardo Bargas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucas Ramos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hernando Diaz went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernando Diaz in the 76th minute of play forced Arratzu's goalkeeper Lucas Ramos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hegoi Saavedra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ambrosio Urquijo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by David Bargas during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
