San Jerónimo AFC's Heriberto Molina got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Heriberto Molina got free with Cordeal Echavarri in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Heriberto Molina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Germán Castaño sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 33 played minutes Hernani FC got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Aguilo. In the 34th minute, Juan Pascual sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Hernani FC's Cordeal Echavarri didn't even have to move. San Jerónimo AFC's Alanzo Zubiaga couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 36th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Hernani FC. Pablo Comas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Prudencio Diaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in San Jerónimo AFC's zone, Felip Suarez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Prudencio Diaz came out of the goal and Felip Suarez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 47th minute Pablo Comas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prudencio Diaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Pablo Comas made the kick off in the second half. Germán Castaño sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pablo Comas might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Prudencio Diaz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pablo Comas ran back to his position shaking his head. If Germán Castaño had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alanzo Zubiaga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Cordeal Echavarri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cordeal Echavarri stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Heriberto Molina's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. Hernani FC's Cordeal Echavarri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heriberto Molina in the 87th minute of play. In the 89th minute, Felip Suarez made a precise shot to the right of Prudencio Diaz. San Jerónimo AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. The San Jerónimo AFC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Hernani FC to win.
