Raúl Pacheco charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Raúl Pacheco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Barriada Nueva AFC booed when Sarsamarcuello was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raúl Pacheco didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Barriada Nueva AFC's zone, Raúl Pacheco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Beltxe Morcego came out of the goal and Raúl Pacheco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Santo Machado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Coira, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Sarsamarcuello's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Coira came free, but Santo Machado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lesardo Morales recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Osmundo Marcilla struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Santo Machado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barriada Nueva AFC. Santo Machado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lesardo Morales, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 34th minute, Cloyo Gabas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Dalmu Idiaquez fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sarsamarcuello's protests and gave Dalmu Idiaquez a yellow card for diving instead. Dalmu Idiaquez hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. A collision led to Barriada Nueva AFC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Benvide Riba hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Barriada Nueva AFC's Vinicio Mata got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Cloyo Gabas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vinicio Mata's late challenge caught a Sarsamarcuello's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vinicio Mata helped the player get up and apologised. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
The wind increased when Cloyo Gabas made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Barriada Nueva AFC's zone, Cloyo Gabas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Beltxe Morcego came out of the goal and Cloyo Gabas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Atauri De Toro kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. If Cloyo Gabas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raúl Pacheco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Beltxe Morcego tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 72 minutes into the match, Barriada Nueva AFC's Luis Coira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Santo Machado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Luis Coira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 78 minutes into the match, Sarsamarcuello's goal looked a bit too open when Lesardo Morales came free, but Santo Machado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Sarsamarcuello getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Anaia Merino hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Sarsamarcuello's zone, Lesardo Morales stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santo Machado came out of the goal and Lesardo Morales tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 83rd play minutes Luis Coira shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Santo Machado and just under the crossbar into goal. After having played for 86 minutes, Luis Coira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barriada Nueva AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis Coira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With his leg Santo Machado managed to avoid a goal in the 88thth minute, when Barriada Nueva AFC's Luis Coira fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in Sarsamarcuello's zone, Osmundo Marcilla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santo Machado came out of the goal and Osmundo Marcilla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Desiderio Izquierdo hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match.
