He was immediately shown a red card. 47 minutes into the game, one of Teià AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

With an extended leg and a bit of luck Patricio Herrera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Baseia FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Baseia FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
