Tulio Goyanes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Reno Calatayud having to make a save. Xurxo Villanueva's late challenge caught a Sagarras Bajas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Xurxo Villanueva helped the player get up and apologised. Ovando Barrios fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adelio Rienda having to interfere. Reno Calatayud made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tulio Goyanes in the 15th minute of play. 16 minutes into the game, Koldo Sacristán was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sagarras Bajas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Mallol the free kick. Koldo Sacristán hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 18th minute, Tulio Goyanes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The El Mallol fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After 31 played minutes Sagarras Bajas got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Feal. In the 33rd minute El Mallol were awarded a corner. Nono santillana went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led El Mallol's Nono santillana to fire away a dangerous shot which Reno Calatayud despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If Milton Urquijo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Serafo Arenas in the 49thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Reno Calatayud, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ovando Barrios to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in El Mallol's zone, Ovando Barrios stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adelio Rienda came out of the goal and Ovando Barrios tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nono santillana kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Ovando Barrios managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sagarras Bajas's supporters rose to their feet, but Ovando Barrios was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adelio Rienda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 62 minutes into the match, El Mallol's goalkeeper Adelio Rienda had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joseba Balcells. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ovando Barrios in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adelio Rienda saved El Mallol from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Gaspar Muelas managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Mallol's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaspar Muelas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reno Calatayud breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 77th minute, Serafo Arenas made a precise shot to the right of Reno Calatayud. Sagarras Bajas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tulio Goyanes in the 82nd minute of play forced Sagarras Bajas's goalkeeper Reno Calatayud to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joseba Balcells struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Adelio Rienda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sagarras Bajas. Joseba Balcells received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Adelio Rienda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96thth minute of the game Serafo Arenas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sagarras Bajas's Reno Calatayud was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
